Takeover in the market of wagon keepers in Germany: The Aves One AG takes over the wagon keeper ERR Rail Rent Vermietungs GmbH by 100% und ERR Euopean Rail Rent by 33%. For the total acquisition costs of 33,5 millions the fleet increases by 3.881 wagons to a total number of 4.212.
Logistics solutions in the automotive industry: The ARS Altmann AG has awarded transport orders to the railway undertakings Lokomotion Gesellschaft für Schienentraktion mbH and Rail Traction Company. The transport orders relate to weakly tours between Munich and Verona since February 2016.
Innovation in rail freight transport: The Swedish railway company Hector Rail started to run 730 meter trains. These freight trains operate beween Malmö and Hallsberg and have an improved capacity of 15% compared to previous models.
Four-axle hopper wagons: The company Bohnhorst Rail & Logistik has acquired 81 innovative cereal tipping wagons. The railway wagon with central discharge was developed for cereal transports in a cooparation between HVLE and WASCOSA. The Westfälische Landes-Eisenbahn GmbH (WLE), a major RTC from Lippstadt, accepts a bid from Bombardier for a Traxx AC3 in a tender from July 2015. The company already owns a multiplesystem locomotive of type Siemens ES 64 F4 and has rented another one from Mitsui Rail Capital Europe (MRCE).
New rail connection between Burghausen and Rotterdam: With October 2015 DB Schenker Rail BTT offers a new rail link for containers and swap bodies. The railway line is between the KombiTerminal Burghausen (KTB) and the port of Rotterdam. According to BTT The train will operate three times a week.
With January 1st, 2016 DB Schenker will offer a new transport product to the market for oil companies. Besides safety and reliability the company promises high flexibility for the product. This way they hope to minimize the risk of trading oil products because of fluctuation in prices and demand.
